MINDBODY – BOLD 2022

All for wellness, wellness for all

The BOLD conference is Mindbody’s annual conference for the wellness, fitness, and beauty industries. The conference announces their new software products, offers strategies, business insights, and inspiration for everyone in the wellness industry, whether you’re a growing brand or thriving franchise. For the conference I created the stage design, animated keynote presentation and other motion elements.

Keynote Opener Video

Made this video to open the product spotlight keynote. Loved how it came out but I wish I had more time to make a better title lockup for the end 😉

Keynote Presentation

After the opener video the main stage session begins, with an animated presentation behind each speaker. I designed and animated the entire presentation and delpoyed it using Powerpoint and Keynote. It consisted of 96 custom animated slides.

To achieve this animated presentation I animated all of the slides in After Effects, exported prores .movs, then placed those videos individually into powerpont setting them to “autoplay on click.” This gave the speakers control so they could comfortably time and move through their presentations.

Main Stage Design Process

I created a mock up of the stage to size and built a process in Figma to organize all the different looks I needed for each segment of the conference. Each segment needed an animated title card, animated intros for each speaker and transitions between speaking sessions.

To figure out how many assets I needed to design and animate I broke apart the three day event into segments. Heres’s some process breakdowns of a couple of the segments and how’s these designs translated to the stage during the event.

After Party

Of course no conference is complete without an after party. I created a bunch of different stage looks for this as well. There was a DJ, a band and a few other segments during the party that required stage designs and animated graphics.
